TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Saving animals is what the Tallahassee Animal Shelter does, and people got a chance to meet a new pet couple on Saturday.
15 animals were adopted at the Smooches with Pooches adoption event. 11 dogs, 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs.
Volunteer coordinator Grayson Walters said even though the event is over, you can still adopt children at any time.
“We’re here 7 days a week from 10 to 6, and although we use more of a walk-in-based system, we’ll often be open when you come in,” Walters said. “We just want to do an adoption questionnaire first to find out who you’re looking for, and then we do more matching.”
If you are unable to adopt, the shelter also has a volunteer and foster program that people can participate in.
