MORRISANIA, Bronx (WABC) — A 6-year-old Bronx girl died after she arrived at a hospital with bruises all over her body.
The mother of little Jalay Eason called 911 just after 4 a.m. Friday to report the injuries.
Police arrived at the Forest Houses on East 165th Street in Morrisania and found the child with bruises and injuries to his wrists and torso.
Jalaya was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives are interviewing her mother.
Charges have not been filed, the cause of the girl’s death will be determined by the medical examiner.
The girl lived in a poor apartment on the 12th floor, dirty and in complete disarray.
Jalai’s siblings, an 8-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, were removed from the ACS home.
The investigation into her death is ongoing.
