A woman died while trying to access a clothing donation box California this week, the authorities said. According to The Los Angeles Times, police found an unnamed woman dead and partially trapped in the door of a clothing donation box in suburban Los Angeles on Thursday morning.
Authorities reportedly arrived at the scene in the Santa Clarita neighborhood of Los Angeles around 9:58 a.m. and found the 61-year-old victim, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The report said the woman’s “upper body” was trapped in a metal donation box. Lt. Dan Wolansky of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to the publication that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“She crawled in there,” he said. “I don’t know if she lost anything in the dumpster or not, but she was reaching for it when she got trapped.”
