Builders discovered a The body of a 36-year-old man on their website, Utah deputies told news agencies. Officials are now investigating.

Workers called for help Monday, Oct. 10, after they discovered items removed from the property and a man “lying on the ground, dead, under suspicious circumstances,” the Washington County Sheriff’s Office told ABC 4.

Deputies began an investigation at St construction site near Ivin in southwestern Utah. Deputies initially responded to a report of a burglary, according to KSL.

“When they got to the scene, they realized there was a forced entry, there were signs of a burglary,” said sheriff’s Sgt. Joel Hafoka told the news publication about it. “But during the initial investigation, a body was also found.”

The body was discovered near the Anasazi Valley Trail, deputies told KSL.

The investigators established the man’s death was suspiciousand his remains will be sent for forensic examination to identify and determine the cause of death, according to St George News.

Officials told the publication that there are no signs of danger to the public.

Deputies did not reveal the person’s nameaccording to Fox 13. Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
