A couple traveling home to California through Oregon in their bus has gone missing, authorities say.

There were Charles and Kathleen Waller, ages 81 and 79 last heard from around Oct. 23 while they were driving home to Boulder Creek, Calif., in their 2017 Four Winds bus, according to a news release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff reported their disappearance on Thursday, October 27.

The Wallers had been in daily contact with their family, but that stopped on Oct. 23 when they told their family they were about 45 minutes north of the Oregon-California border, the release said.

Their cell phones have been switched off and no one has heard from or been able to contact them since. Their license plate number is 8HWX240.

Chris Waller is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 207 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. Kathleen Waller is 5’6″, weighs 190 pounds, has gray hair and blue eyes.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to a request for information from McClatchy News.

Anyone with information about the Wallers or the location of their bus is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 541-440-4471 or by email dcso.pio@co.douglas.or.us.
