The shooting took place just before 1:30 a.m. Monday on Summerfield Street and Wyckoff Avenue in an industrial building that was also used as a recording studio.
Police responded to the scene after a 21-year-old man was shot in the head.
Now the motives are being clarified.
Neighbors described the horrific moments when they heard the shots.
“Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Several people took to the streets. So we came back. And now just a bunch of cops,” said one woman as she left a nearby subway station.
“I’m afraid. I lived in this neighborhood, two blocks from here, and it’s dangerous. It’s happening all the time, you hear that people are being shot,” said another woman.
This is a relatively quiet area and the first killing of the 104th precinct in 2022. There have been no killings at the site over the past year.
