A Fort Myers Beach boater needs help getting his boat out of a tree and back on the water after Hurricane Ian.

Dion from Norway lives on his sailboat. He was on his boat when Hurricane Ian swept through SWFL.

He is looking for anyone who can help him get his sailboat back in the water so he can get back to his wife and daughter.

“It was my first hurricane. “It was a terrible experience,” Dion said.

Dion explained that the tree was the only thing keeping his boat from moving further away from the water.

“My boat came all the way from the boating field and all the way here. Thanks to that tree, it stopped my boat and being able to land like that,” Dion said.

He said now all he needs is someone with a crane and a boat trailer.

“They were trying to help me put the boat back in the water, but we needed someone with a boat trailer and a crane to move the boat 60 yards,” Dion said.

Dion said it was the only transportation he had to get back to his family.

“I have nowhere to go, this is my only chance to go on with my life. It was my everything,” Dion said
