Alex Jones was convicted of spreading lies about the Sandy Hook massacre, and some of the families of the murdered children just got word from a jury … that Jones must pay nearly $1 billion.
A Connecticut jury simply hit Jones between the eyes … finding that the emotional distress and trauma caused by his company was so immense … justice demanded an award of enormous damages.
The total verdict – divided between the 8 families and 1 person who provided assistance – is $965 million.
Family lawyer, Chris Matteitold jurors in his final closing argument that Jones was lying to generate income for his website, while the grieving parents received death threats and harassment from his supporters.

Jones was on his radio show when the verdict was read … and told his listeners: “It must be such hell – they just read the damages even though you didn’t get any money.” Jones also said the case was a joke and asked his listeners to donate.
The legal battle began back in 2018, when the families targeted Jones and his company, Free Speech Systems.
As you know, Jones has already been ordered will pay another $49.3 million in a similar lawsuit that took place in Texas back in August … money also went to some of the parents affected by the shooting.
