Amber Heard may not get much of a shoulder to cry from the public amid her trial Johnny Depp – but her legal team, of course … in particular, Elaine Bredehoft.
It’s been a busy week for the Hurd team … at least that’s what the general consensus on the internet looks like, and many have noticed what seems obvious, namely that Ms. Bredehoft had a hard time redirecting after Camille VazquezLaser-oriented cross-examination of AG.
If you watched that on Tuesday (Amber’s last day in the stands), you certainly saw the disappointment when Vazquez constantly objected to the questions asked by Bradhoft … and the judge who supported a large number of them, almost to the point that EB could barely get the word out.
In fact, Bredehoft seemed to acknowledge the difficulty of the moment … apparently looking into his thoughts / figuring out a way to ask something without objection. She literally said, “I’m trying, I’m trying” … and in the end didn’t have too many successful redirects.
After Bredehoft wrapped up the redirection, Amber hurriedly left the courtroom … it was after the judge told her she could resign and rejoin her lawyers. Honestly, Amber seemed angry.
There were also rumors – note, unconfirmed – that A.H. and her team got into an argument and shouted in court when the camera didn’t work. It is impossible to say whether this is true, but it would seem that most people believe that AH and co. go out to a lawyer during this whole trial … and that it could be internal.
This brings us to the sympathy Elaine seems to have aroused by some … people at TikTok and elsewhere say she and other Hurd lawyers often look down and break away – and a few obvious Depp supporters even say they feel for EB assuming she has a tough battle, and a client who isn’t that easy to defend – at least they read that.
Of course, we are sure that Elaine herself would strongly disagree with such a description – and more importantly … the jury depends on who is on their feet and who will win.
While a significant number of people might think that Amber’s testimony strengthened her defenses, others say that witnesses brought in by her team after that were much more effective in corroborating her allegations that Johnny allegedly abused / controlled their relationship.
former JD, Ellen Barkin, testified that he once threw in her bottle and was jealous. In addition, other AH witnesses testified that they saw the alleged injuries and / or actual beatings of Amber Johnny first hand … and if the jury believes he hit her at least once, he loses.
In other words, at the moment it’s nobody’s game of ball … despite Tuesday’s result.
