Michael Topi of Viera High won the boys class 4A in the 3,200-meter distance on Saturday at the University of Florida at Gainesville.
Topi, FLORIDA TODAY Boys Cross Country Runner 2020, finished the race in 9: 08.04.
In the outpatient FHSAA javelin throw he defeated Brett Bolton of Rocklege with a mark of 61 feet 5 inches.

Brewery outpatient medalists: Javelin – 1. Brett Bolton (Rockledge) 61-5; 200 – 8. Bolton (Rockledge) 35.93.
Baseball
Melbourne Central Catholic failed in the regional class 3A baseball playoffs on Saturday in West Palm Beach. Cardinal Newman defeated the Hustlers 3-0. MCC finished the season 21-5-1.
