Step aside haters, Blackpink is here to shut you down! “Shut Down”, the lead single from the second full-length album “Born Pink” finally here, and Jenny, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo no time for those who pray for their downfall.
While Blackpink’s last release was their 2020 album ‘The Album’, the girls reject the notion that their latest album is a ‘comeback’ because they never left. Throughout the mid-tempo track, the girls warn haters that trying to bring them down is a waste of time. At one point, Jenny raps, “You don’t wanna be on my bad side, that’s for sure, I’m slipping.”
“Shut Down” is the follow up to the girls single “Pink Venom” which they performed live for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28. The girls took home the award for Best Meta Performance as a Group that night, while Lisa won Best K-Pop for her solo single “Lalisa.”
