The Cape Coral Police Department was at the scene of a shooting in the 1900 Southeast Van Loon Terrace quarter on Wednesday morning.

The CCPD warned of an increased police presence in the area starting around 3:15 a.m. while an investigation is underway, and asked drivers to temporarily look for alternative routes.

Several additional officers entered the house on the Wang Lun terrace. WINK News witnessed them coming in and out of the house and garage and using flashlights looking around the porch and windows. The K-9 unit arrived around 5:15 p.m.

WINK saw police officers in the garage of the house talking to two residents, one of whom was a child. At least five bullet holes can be seen on one side of the house.

WINK contacted the CCPD for more information. At about 7 am the scene was investigated
