Celtics star Jaylen Brown admits he was blindsided by the allegations against Boston’s head coach Udok’s name … saying he’s both “shocked” and “confused” by it all.
Brown made the revelation after being asked by reporters during the team’s media day on Monday how he reacted to learning that Udoka had been accused of having a consensual relationship with a Celtics employee — allegedly while he was still dating Nia Long.
“We were all shocked … a little bit confused. There wasn’t a lot of information shared with us.”

“My initial reaction was we were all shocked at what was going on,” Brown said, before adding, “A little confused, but we weren’t shared a lot of information.”
Brown, who has been with the Celtics for the past six seasons, said there have been no conversations between him and Udoka since then. the coach was suspended for the scandal.
Jason Tatum also talked about Udoka and the season-long suspension imposed on Chief C … calling it “a lot to process.”
“It’s just a lot. If I’m being honest… you’re still trying to process it all, knowing we start training tomorrow.”

“Coming into this season,” the star winger said, “you feel a certain way, and coming off last year, you’re excited. Trying to do all these things.”
“Along with everyone else, just still trying to process everything knowing that tomorrow we start training.”
Udoka, who led the Celtics to the NBA Finals last season, will be out for the entire 2022-23 season … and the team’s owner Wyc Grousbeck said last week that the suspension could last even longer.
