Charlotte County emphasizes traffic and generator safety

CHARLOTTE COUNTY

Charlotte Kutney stresses the importance of proper generator use as FPL continues to work to restore power.

Charlotte County Emergency Director Patrick Fuller said FPL has restored 45% of the county’s power and said FPL still expects restoration to be 95% complete by Oct. 9.

During power restoration, traffic intersections may be without power or may not operate as normal. The county is asking people to be careful at intersections and treat those without working lights as a four-way stop.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for Charlotte County utility customers.
