UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — Chick-fil-A is opening a temporary rest area for food delivery workers.

It’s called The Brake Room.

The resort is located on the Upper East Side, on Third Avenue between 83rd and 84th Streets.

This is free space.

Workers simply need to provide proof of food delivery within the last week through the meal delivery program.

Workers will have access to bathrooms, bike storage and phone charging points.

“In metropolitan areas like New York, we see the same food delivery people coming almost every day of the week, multiple times a day, and as an extra second to warm up between deliveries or offer a glass of water, it helps fuel them on change. The food delivery community helps grow our business, and this is just our small way of showing appreciation for all they do,” said Jared Caldwell, owner/operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant in New York City at 1536 3rd Ave. Upper East Side.

It will be open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until mid-April.
