Bryson Ayala of Melbourne Baseball won this week’s online vote for Community Credit Union Athlete of the Week in Florida.
Ayala received 2002 with 2,776 votes cast on 321preps.com and floridatoday.com. That was 72.12 percent of the vote.
Ayala was nominated after driving in eight races in two regional wins last week, safely striking five hits in seven bits. His sacrificial fly gave the Bulldogs the lead in last Friday’s game.
