Draymond Green allegedly called Poole a “bitch” in practice before the hit

Jordan Poole is slated for a big contract extension with the Golden State Warriors — something he allegedly told team officials — and that’s why things with Draymond Green … TMZ Sports learned

Sources who were at the training session where Green hit Poole tell us that in the days leading up to the incident, Poole was acting different – cocky. The alleged behavior created friction between him and some of his teammates, including Draymond, who also reportedly asked for a big extension.

Let’s move on to training on Wednesday. Our sources at the site say Poole committed several fouls during the scrimmage, resulting in Draymond calling him a “bitch” several times.

Things escalated when Poole allegedly said, “You know what it’s like, Draymond.” — seemingly bragging about the contract situation — and Draymond got in Poole’s face, allegedly saying, “No, I don’t know what that is?”

Then, how reproduced in the video obtained by TMZ Sports, you see Poole push Draymond back and Draymond lands a punch to his teammate’s jaw.

Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala and head coach Steve Kerr came to Poole’s defense earlier this week… denying his attitude was involved in the altercation.

In fact, Steph went so far as to say it’s “absolute BS” … but our sources are adamant the team is trying to save face.
