CHIPLEY, FL. Drivers will experience traffic delays on the following state roads in the Big Bend area as crews perform construction and maintenance work.
Leon County:
- Orange Avenue/Lake Bradford Road (State Route (SR) 371) Resurfacing from Rankin Avenue to Stadium Drive – Motorists may experience intermittent lane closures during the day and night on the following roads:
- Lake Bradford Road from Stadium Drive to Springhill Road from Monday, October 10 to Friday, October 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for utility work.
- Lake Bradford Road from Stadium Drive to Springhill Road from Monday October 10 to Friday October 14 from 8pm to 6am for mowing.
- Apalachee Parkway (US 27) bridge replacement for Florida, Georgia and Alabama Railroad – Motorists will experience inside lane closures between Myers Park Drive and South Franklin Boulevard. One outside lane will remain open to traffic as construction work continues on the bridge.
- Replacing the US 90 bridge over the Oclakonee River – From Monday, October 10 to Friday, October 14, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, motorists will experience intermittent lane closures for the striping work.
Wakula County:
- US 98 Resurfacing from east of US 319 (Crawfordville Highway) west of the Wakula River Bridge – Motorists may experience intermittent overnight lane closures from Sunday, October 9 to Friday, October 14, from 7:30pm to 5:00am for layout work.
- US Coastal Highway 98 Bike Path – Motorists may encounter a broken lane closure between Tower Road and Chattahoochee Street from Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The westbound lane will be closed to allow crews to construct the embankment. To perform this work, turn signals must guide drivers through the work zone. Please use caution when moving around this area.
