It’s official: season two “Svetlyakovy av” coming soon. The series follows two best friends named Tali (Katherine Heigl) and Kate (Sarah Chalk) and the ups and downs they have faced over the years. It’s basically everything you love about soap operas like Sweet Magnolias and Virgin River with a touch of This Is Us.
Unfortunately, the second season of the series will be the last, Netflix showed October 3. The final season will consist of 16 episodes, divided into two parts.
With the final episode of the first season ending on a cliffhanger, we’re already excited to find out what happens next. And given that it is based on A series of books of the same name by Christine Hanna, there are many sources of inspiration. While there’s no telling how closely the second season will follow the second book of Fly Away, there are still plenty of storylines to explore in future episodes. Why aren’t Tully and Kate talking today? What happens to Johnny? We need answers, and hopefully we’ll get them soon!

Heigl and Chalk will return as Tully and Kate, while cast members Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, Ali Skowbay, Roan Curtis and Yael Yurman will also return to round out the story. India de Beaufort, Greg Herman, Jolene Purdy, and Ignacio Sericchio will join the cast as new characters Charlotte, Benedict, Justin, and Danny, respectively.

The first season ends with Tally gently promising Kate that she’ll help her get a new job as the two huddle by the fire — but then suddenly cuts to a scene at a funeral where Kate tells Tally she doesn’t want to see her ever again. The second season seems to explain why Tali and Kate’s relationship fell apart. Tali’s career development and Kate’s relationship with her daughter Mara are also likely to be explored.
“With her talk show The Girlfriend Hour officially cancelled, Tali is looking for new career opportunities and who better than Kate to be her producer?” says the Netflix announcement, which also hints that we’ll finally learn what really caused the rift in the couple’s friendship. “Kate doesn’t know yet that her ex-husband Johnny (Ben Lawson) was injured while working as a journalist in Iraq. Kate and Tully end the season celebrating their new partnership on the ex’s front porch when the phone inside rings ominously .. But the biggest mystery in the first season centered on Kate and Tully’s fight.”

The first nine episodes of the second season of “Firefly Lane” will air on December 2, with the second seven sometime in 2023.
