It’s time to vote again for Community Credit Union Florida’s Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.
The following athletes were nominated for their performance from October 3 to 8. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget to update if the survey is not visible on the first download. Voting will continue until noon on Thursday.
Last week’s winner was Immanuel Martin of Rockledge Bowling.
Martin received 11,181 of the 19,599 votes cast on 321preps.com. Merritt Island Golf Club’s Rebecca Luchs (5,335) and Havana Weilnau Christian Volleyball Team (3,045) followed.
Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. Email an athlete’s accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to bmccallum@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.

Lindsey Angermeier, Edgewood Volleyball
Angermeier recorded 17 kills and one block last week in a win over Merritt Island Christian.
Jennifer Chiarillo, Eau Gallie Bowling
Chiarillo shot a season-best 245 in Thursday’s match at Palm Bay Shore Lanes, following a 195 in Tuesday’s event.
Abby Clayton, swimming at Cocoa Beach
Clayton won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.77, the 200-meter individual medley in 2:13.56 and led off the winning 200-meter freestyle relay Friday at the Cape Coast Conference meet.
Deshaun Harper, Bayside football
Harper recorded nine tackles against Satellite on Monday and seven against Viera on Friday, including two sacks. He broke up three passes against the Scorps.
Jeremiah King, Brevard Heat swimming
King won the 200m individual medley and the 100m backstroke on Thursday and Friday, both at the Eddie Lee Taylor Sr. Swimming Pool in Melbourne.
Vivian Louw, Viera Golf
Louw carded 35 holes at Sebastian Municipal on Tuesday, one under par, and Duran on Thursday in a darkness-shortened round.
Devin Makowski, Rockledge cross country
Makowski won the Cape Coast Conference 5,000 meters on Monday in Wickham (15:44.4) and was fourth (15:21.5) among the 3A boys at the FSU Pre-State Invite in Tallahassee on Saturday.
Nicole Riopelle, West Shore Swimming
Riopelle won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.07 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 58.72 at the Cape Coast Conference meet on Friday.
Sarilyn Walley, Merritt Island Volleyball
In the match against “Satellite” last Tuesday, Wally made 23 assists and nine goals.
Eliot Weisel, Swimming at Rockledge
Weisel was part of a Cape Coast Conference record four on Friday. He won the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and swam on two winning relays.
Logan Young, bowling at Titusville
Young shot a 258 Wednesday at River Lanes in a match against Cocoa High.
