FORT MYERS

On Tuesday, the city of Fort Myers completed a citywide damage assessment following Hurricane Ian.

The results are as follows:

Commercial damage

  • $329,739,263 in damages
  • 30 buildings were destroyed
  • 192 buildings were significantly damaged
  • 718 buildings with minor damage
  • 949 buildings were damaged

Residential damage

  • $332,762,121 in damages
  • 343 buildings were destroyed
  • 426 buildings were significantly damaged
  • 1,939 buildings with minor damage
  • 4379 buildings were affected

The total damage to residential and commercial properties is $662,501,384. 373 buildings were destroyed.
