EAST ICESLIP, LONG ISLAND (WABC) — An innocent bystander was shot dead in a Suffolk County bar early Sunday morning.

Police say the incident happened at the Outfield Pub in East Islip just after 1am

The shooting happened when one man pressed a gun to the other’s body.

Officials say a fight broke out and the gun was discharged. A woman who was nearby was shot in the neck.

She is in hospital in serious condition.

Police are still looking for the suspect who fled the bar, officials said. The second participant in the fight received non-life-threatening injuries.
