Let’s get it! J.Cole is back to that and fulfilling his dreams of hoops! According to NBA insider Shams Charanya, Cole joins the Canadian professional basketball team Scarborough Shooting Stars! Shams wrote on Twitter,

“Sources: J. Cole signs a contract with the Scarborough Shooting Stars (@sss_cebl) in the Canadian Elite Basketball League, and the rap star is performing professionally for the second year in a row. The CEBL training camp started this week and the season opened on May 26. ”

The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) also confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: “@scarboroughshootingstars signed 6’3 guards, @realcoleworld. The last time he played professionally was @thebal. #LetsBall #OurGame ».

Cole joins a team with strong leadership. According to Yahoo News, Shooting Stars is headed by Toronto Raptors assistant coach, player development consultant and former NBA All-Star Game match Jamal Magluar. Jamaal also holds the position of vice president of shooting stars. This is not 100% confirmed, but reports suggest that Jamaal’s work with NBA-level talent may have helped Cole join CEBL.

This isn’t the first time Cole has ended his rap career and returned to the court. As we reported earlier, in May 2021 he graduated from the Rwanda Patriots BBC. Sources told ESPN “The Undefeated” that the rapper had fulfilled all the obligations listed in his contract, and headed home from Africa “because of family obligations.”

While on the team, Cole scored 5 points, three assists and five rebounds in three previous games on ESPN. Neighbors seem happy that rapper “Love Yourz” will return to the court. Leave a comment and let us know how J. Cole join The Shooting Stars!
