The body of Jose Larry, a one-year-old boy who went missing Florida over the weekend he was found immersed in a septic tank in his home, police said.

The boy went missing on Sunday afternoon. He was last seen playing with his sister near their home in Crescent City, about an hour from Dayton Beach.

Jose’s mother briefly took his sister inside to remove her, and returned to find Jose missing, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. A truck he was playing with was found in the yard.

Authorities conducted a massive search operation using bloodhounds, drones, helicopters and night vision devices to find the boy.

After several hunting dogs could not find the boy, the search team decided to inspect the area covered with weeds, dirt and plywood, and began cleaning the septic tank.

Authorities decided to drain the septic tank after an investigator noticed that the overgrown area looked disturbed.

“Today it is my unfortunate task to tell you that Jose Larry search ended with the recovery of Jose’s body, ” Putnam County This was stated by Sheriff HD Gator DeLoach at a press conference on Monday night.

The sheriff said the septic tank, which is just 40 meters from the house, was covered with rotten plywood, and the child is believed to have stepped on it.
