Khloe Kardashian just discovered a recent skin cancer scare … which resulted in a tumor being removed from her face.
On Tuesday, Khloe opened up about her health issue on social media, saying she went to the doctor for a biopsy after noticing a small lump on her face that had been there for 7 months.
First, Khloe says a dermatologist examined her face, and then she underwent two biopsies, leading to doctors telling her she needed immediate surgery to remove the tumor from her face.
Khloe says Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher had the operation and she says that now everything is fine and she is recovering.
Sources close to Khloe told TMZ that the first biopsy revealed melanoma and doctors couldn’t believe the results, so a second biopsy was performed. We were told that after the tumor was removed, a test was done that revealed precancerous melanoma.
Khloe says she’s sharing her cancer scare to encourage people to check their skin often, pointing out that she always wears sunscreen and still has the problem.
Our sources say that if Khloe hadn’t had her face examined, the tumor could have turned into full-blown cancer, although it’s impossible to predict when that would happen.
Khloe says she had melanoma surgically removed from her back when she was 19, and now she’ll likely have a scar on her face when she can remove the bandages.
