TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Law enforcement is investigating a fatal incident on North Monroe Street in Leon County Saturday night.
According to the Florida Patrol’s Real Time Traffic and Road Conditions Report, at 8:14 p.m., FHP officers responded to the intersection of North Monroe and Sessions Streets, which is just north of the Interstate 10 on- and off-ramp.
The FHP called the fatal incident, while The Leon County Sheriff’s Office added that the incident was a hit-and-run.
The sheriff’s office said they were responding to the scene.
Northbound and southbound lanes in the area of the incident on Monroe Street between Sessions Road at the Walmart entrance were closed until further notice.
