Le’Veon Bellthe decision to box the former UFC fighter Uriah Hall has been questioned by many, and while almost everyone expects the former pro bowler to be flipped, Bell tells us that’s not how he sees it happening… he plans to kick Hall’s ass, and one day become a champion!
“Honestly, I’m trying to be the best,” Bell, 30, said when he joined Babcock on TMZ Sports (weekdays on FS1), adding … “I want to be a champion someday.”
5-time All-Pro struggles Hall, 38 on Jake Paul against Anderson Silva card on the Showtime PPV … and he’s a strong underdog against a former UFC title contender (Uria beat The Spider Chris Weidman, Gegard Mousasi in the MMA cage)
Bell – who beat the NFL star Adrian Peterson in his first pro fight in September – knows he will have to fight tough opponents like Uriah if he wants to become a champion.
Le’Veon Bell says he doesn’t watch the NFL, focusing on his career as a running back
“The goal that I’ve set for myself is to get in the ring with guys like Uriah Hall. He’s got a lot of experience, he’s got a lot of fight experience, and I’ve got to beat the direction that guys like that are trying to go. Go out on ring and beat him and Uriah Hall is the next guy.’
And Bell isn’t content to just hang in there … he wants to end the night with his hand up.
“I’m going into this fight like I’m trying to win. I have a mission. Uriah Hall is a guy that’s on my journey. He’s one of the guys that I have to go through. He’s probably going to be one of the toughest guys that I’ve ever fought because I’ve fought, obviously, I’ve only fought Adrian Peterson, but I haven’t even sparred guys with 17 years of experience like Uriah Hall.”
Le’Veon was previously rumored to be Jake Paul’s opponent … so we asked LB if he’d be interested in taking on the Problem Child if they both win.
“Yeah, the interest is definitely there, whether I’m the next opponent or whoever my next opponent is. I don’t know. If Jake Paul wants to be my number 2 fight professionally, that would be perfect.”
Bell continued… “Whatever guys make sense and put in front of me, I’ve got to take those guys out and keep climbing the ladder because like I said, I’m trying to be a champion and whoever is in my try to stop me from this, I am definitely ready to fight them.”
Le’Veon last played NFL football in 2021 with the Bucks and Ravens … and he’s still only 30. So will he play again?
Watch the clip … Bell says there is he hardly played again, unless one special situation arose.
The fight will end on Saturday night!!
