Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne got into a dangerous situation in Argentina this weekend – as a result, the paparazzi photographer went to the police and accused himself of assault.
Direct sources tell TMZ that the two stars dined in Buenos Aires early Sunday morning, and as they were leaving the restaurant (Patagonia Sur in the La Boca area), an Uber was waiting for them — but the pickup went awry.
We were told that when the ladies got into the car, the dad ran up to them and aggressively started taking pictures, invading their space. Our sources say the encounter spooked the driver and he drove off – Cara was fully in the car and Margot was halfway in and out.
We’re told Margot actually had to jump out of the car to avoid serious injury, but even after she hit the ground … the photo continued to be taken. That’s when a couple of Margot’s friends who were nearby came to help – according to our sources.
Now we’re told that the photo escaped and fell on its own at that point – but he’s telling the police in Buenos Aires something completely different … namely that he was brutally beaten by these two men, who he felt were guards, and hospitalized .
According to the materials of the Argentinian online newspaper Infobae — which has been operating since 2002 — under the name dad Pedro Alberto Orquerawas left with a broken arm and a bloodied scalp after the alleged beating … that’s according to a police report the publication claims to have seen.
They go on to say the guy wanted to press charges … and since then the two men – Jack Rhys Hopkins and Josey McNamara Callum — were detained. Our sources tell us that they are NOT bodyguards (just friends), but that they are in fact in police custody.
It is unclear if they were arrested/convicted on any specific charges. We have attempted to contact local authorities for confirmation, but have not yet been able to reach anyone with information. Infobae reports that authorities are interested in criminal prosecution pending an investigation.
No word on what might have happened after the alleged incident involving Margot and Cara — but at first glance … it sounds like a nasty altercation, to say the least.
We reached out to reps for Margot and Kari to find out how they’re doing. The two women are obviously close friends – it’s been proven recent home visits Margot did amid the challenges Kara faced. They also often travel together, like earlier this summer.
We have not heard back from either of their camps.
