MLB division openers: Phillies-Braves in action

The American League and National League division series began Tuesday with Atlanta Braves currently in action against Philadelphia Phillies on FOX.

Later that day, Houston Astros the owner Seattle Marinersand then New York Yankees hosting Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Dodgers hosting San Diego Padres.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves

Phyllis strikes first

After a couple of singles, Nick Castellanos hit an RBI single through the right side of the infield off the Braves starting pitcher Max Friedgiving the Phillies a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

One at bat after Castellanos got the Phillies on the board, Alec Bohm delivered an RBI single of his own to extend the lead to 2-0.

Atlanta loaded the bases in the bottom of the first, but Philadelphia turned into a double play William Contreras get out of the jam.
