RIDGEWOOD, Queens (WABC) — Residents of the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens were shaken Thursday morning after a loud explosion ripped through the roof of an apartment building.

Police say the incident looked like an attempted bombing.

Officers responded to a call at Linden Street and Underdonk, where they found a detonated 2-liter Pepsi bottle.

They also found a bottle of Drain-O near the site.

The New York City Police Department says it has video footage of the bomber, who was making the mixture, being thrown onto a roof.

One man, 35-year-old Angel Colon, was taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.

No casualties have been reported.
