New York City Crimes: Teen girl found fatally shot in East New York apartment building, Brooklyn

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 17-year-old woman was found fatally shot in the lobby of an apartment building in East New York, Brooklyn.

Raelyn Cameron was found shot to the chest in the lobby of a building on Eldert Lane at around 10.55pm on Monday.

She died at the scene.

The circumstances of the shooting are unclear.

A trail of blood led to the sixth floor, where she may have been shot.

The victim lived in Far Rockaway, Queens. Why she ended up in the building was unclear.

A group of teenagers who were on the sixth floor during the shooting are being interrogated by operatives of the 75th precinct.

No weapons were found and it is unclear if any of them were involved.
