NEW YORK (WABC) – A derailed train near Secaucus caused major rail delays in and out of New York’s Penn Station Tuesday evening.

Flight delays to and from New York were up to 90 minutes, according to New Jersey Transit.

They say it was caused by a train shutdown caused by overhead wire problems near Secaucus.

The video showed the transit section of the New Jersey station overflowing with passengers.

As a result, Midtown Direct service was diverted to Hoboken.

NJ Transit reports that rail tickets and passes have been honored at PATH stations.
