4 people shot in Brooklyn; multiple arrests made

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) — Four people were injured and several others were taken into custody after a shooting in Brooklyn on Wednesday, according to police.

The shooting happened just before 3:40 p.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Police say four people were shot, including three men and one woman.

A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and is in critical condition, a 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach, a 28-year-old man was shot once in the back and a 24-year-old woman was shot once in the right arm.

All of the victims went to Kings County Hospital. They are all in stable condition except for the 21-year-old man.

NewsCopter 7 was over one of the scenes located at Myrtle and Throop avenues where a white Hyundai SUV with Florida license plates crashed.

Police say the shooter was in that car.

Three suspects have been taken into custody. Police are looking for one additional suspect.

It’s not yet clear the circumstances of the shooting. An investigation is underway.
