2 people hurt in shooting in Ozone Park, Queens

OZONE PARK, Queens (WABC) — Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after a man and woman were both found with a gunshot wound to the head in Queens on Thursday.

Cops responded to 101st Avenue and Drew Street in Ozone Park at 5:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

Police say a woman, who lives in the neighborhood, was with a man at that location.

Witnesses say the two were arguing loudly for quite some time when the man pulled a gun, shot the woman and then turned the gun on himself.

Upon arrival, officers found a 46-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman both with a gunshot wound to the head.

Both died before medics arrived at the scene.

Police took family members away as they tried to grapple with the sudden and violent night.

They recovered a firearm at the scene.

The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide, according to police sources.
