FORT MONTOMERY, ORANGE COUNTY (WABC) — One person was hospitalized after a 14-vehicle crash in Orange County.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday amid icy conditions on southbound Route 9W at Storm King Mountain in Fort Montgomery.
One person was taken to the district hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes of Route 9W were closed in both directions while police investigated and crews cleared the roadway.
Video from NewsCopter 7 shows a large and extensive traffic backup approaching the scene from the south.
Several tow trucks responded to the area to remove wrecked vehicles.
Motorists were advised to look for alternative routes.
