Finally it’s time for the newbie Kenny Pickett to replace the veteran free agent Mitchell Trubisky how Pittsburgh Steelersstarting quarterback.
The Steelers listed their 2022 first-round pick as the starter on the depth chart for Sunday’s game against Buffalo Bills.
Pickett is the No. 20 pick in 2022 NFL Draft – engaged in the second half of Sunday’s event 24-20 loss yes New York Jets. He went 10-for-13 for 120 yards, three interceptions and added two rushing scores.

“In trying to get better, in trying to score more points, in trying to move the ball more smoothly, we decided to turn to Kenny in hopes that he would provide a spark for us,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday. “Obviously Mitch’s play was one component of the solution, but not the only one. We didn’t move the ball as fluidly as we like.”

McCoy’s co-host Joy Taylor agreed, saying Pickett should have been the Steelers’ all-time starter.
“I didn’t like that he didn’t win the starting job [the] preseason. I thought he played well in the preseason. I don’t know what we need to know about Mitch Trubisky, so I was glad to see [Pickett] there (Sunday). I know everyone is talking about interceptions. Two of them were taken off the tubes and one of them was a Hail Mary. I’m not tripping over it. You had to make a change. This crime was unbearable to watch, and if nothing else, you have to see what he turns into.”

Pickett will have to work hard to get the Steelers out of the 1-3 lineup they are heading into Week 5. And so far, Pittsburgh is averaging 18.5 points (25th in the NFL) and 278.8 yards (30th) per game this season.
