QUINCE VILLAGE, QUEENS (WABC) – Police are looking for a man who committed a brutal robbery in Queens.

Investigators say he approached the victim from behind on Friday morning and struck him several times with a pistol.

It happened on the sidewalk at 89th Avenue and 217th Street in Queens Village.

The attacker stole about $ 4,200 from the victim’s pocket before fleeing.

The victim was hospitalized with bleeding and head cuts.
