As in past holiday seasons, Radial will soon employ almost 200 seasonal customer service workers at the e-commerce company’s call center on Melbourne’s Babcock Street.

Radial Customer Service Centers work with retail brands such as Cole Haan, Hibbett Sports, Nautica, Payless, Puma, Rag & Bone, Tom Ford and World Market.

“This year, we’ve noticed that our customers are really looking to increase their peak (season) purchases through online shopping,” said Urvashi Purohit, chief customer service officer at Radial.
“So to meet this demand, we are also increasing our staff to make sure we are able to meet their needs,” Purohit said.
“This year, more than last year, we’re really increasing our virtual presence in terms of customer service,” she said.
Radial customer support representatives communicate with customers by phone, chat, email and social media.
In a September press release, Radial said a consumer survey of 1,000 adults in the United States found that 58% plan to do more online shopping this holiday season.
“We are excited to add so many talented team members to support another busy peak season,” said Sabrina Wnarowski, Radial’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer, in a press release announcing the hiring in Melbourne.
“Every year we grow significantly and are constantly impressed by the work of our associates. It’s a busy time of year, but our teams are focused on creating an inclusive, collaborative and fun work environment,” Unarowski said in the release.
Radial offers part-time and full-time employment opportunities in Melbourne on day and evening shifts. There are opportunities to become full-time customer service representatives after the holiday season is over.
Purohit said the ideal candidate for her company is someone “who has a passion for customer support, someone who can work with technology.”
“We can teach you everything you need to know about the brands you’re going to support and how to best be that customer advocate. But we need people who are really customer-centric and want to help people,” Purohit. said.
