Lack of IT resources is one of the main problems facing IT organizations today, and companies will need to implement training programs to combat this.
According to a 2022 report by the DevOps Upskilling IT Institute, 40% of respondents said that lack of resource skills is one of the three main problems. While 52% said they have a formal refresher course, 27% are just starting to develop it.
The findings also showed that professional development is a professional and organizational imperative, with the top five skills required for professional development being process framework skills, human skills, technical skills, automation skills and leadership skills.
In addition, almost 60% of respondents said they plan to hire operational engineering, while 40% plan group leaders and 30% – engineers for the reliability of facilities.
Security and cybersecurity have also been recognized as the most important technical skills, the report said. Ninety-two percent of respondents called this skill critical or important, and more than 93% reported that familiarity with some form of DevSecOps is crucial.

IT professionals ultimately control and manage their ways of improving their skills – and recruitment trends show that building critical skills is a worthy personal investment. The report on information technology training offers an in-depth understanding of which skills opportunities are most important to achieve today – including the necessary human skills. ”
The survey involved 2,476 respondents in 120 countries who provided more than 58,000 data points.
