Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has donated the final $275,000 needed by Fort Myers High School to replace the natural grass on Edison Stadium’s Sam Siriani Field with synthetic turf and a new rubber track.

Now, the $1 million project can proceed after $250,000 in matching donations pledged by the Miami Dolphins and Dr. and Mrs. John Kagan of Fort Myers. Additional funds were donated by the community.

Fort Myers High will honor the bank with the exclusive corporate sponsorship of a stadium named for the late inventor Thomas Edison and a field named for the late Sam Siriani Sr., who coached football at Fort Myers for 33 seasons.
