A 2-day-old child and a teenage girl disappeared overnight from the city of Mississippi, officials said.

An missing / missing child alert was issued for the two, who were reportedly last seen around 6pm on Monday, June 27th.

The next morning, the search continued for the newborn boy Kairan Legend Kirk and 17-year-old Angela Gail Kirk. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation in a Facebook post did not say whether they were related and how.

Two are residents Lake Horn, where they were reportedly last seen along Goodman Road. The area is approximately 15 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee.

At the time he disappeared, officials said Kairan was “wearing a blue baby cap, a white jumpsuit with colored stars and white socks.”

Angela, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 115 pounds, “was last seen in a pink sleeveless shirt and green-and-black pajama pants.” According to the investigation, the teenager has green hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to call Lake Horn Police at 662-393-6174.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation did not immediately share additional information with McClatchy News on June 28.
