SNL Cults Nicole Kidman’s AMC Ad

Every time Nicole KidmanAMC theaters ad hits, Aussie actor steps up – reports “Saturday Night Live,” in any case. U Season 48 premiere of NBC’s long-running sketch series, a serious ad that’s managed to earn a cult following in real life becomes even more iconic when Chloe Fineman Kidman wears stilettos.

Feynman mostly sticks to the original dialogue from the ad, which can’t be improved upon. She marvels at how theaters can transport audiences to new places and how “a broken heart feels good in a place like this.” That’s when things start to get weird, especially for the average movie buff I played Kenan Thompson.

Soon the entire theater joins Feynman as Kidman greets the screen: “Somehow a broken heart feels good in a place like this.” Thompson reluctantly joins in as Kidman’s power grows and she begins to hover over the crowd. The more the crowd chants, the more her power increases, as if she’s some kind of supervillain who feeds off their adoration. Thompson sums up the awesome-it’s-brilliant moment by saying, “What the hell just happened?”

The “SNL” sketch hits the mark in large part because people love Kidman’s commercials. In fact, there have been reports of theatergoers greeting the screen and reciting delightfully cheesy lines that create a buzz from the theater experience. The ad is so beloved that it’s even getting a sequel, according to the Diversity.

Who knows how strong Kidman’s abilities will become after the premiere. . .
