THE BRONX (WABC) — An employee of a 24-hour car wash in the Bronx was killed in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning.
Police say the incident happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Webster Avenue near East 168th Street.
The SUV crashed into a car and then hit a 55-year-old man who was working at a nearby car wash, officials said.
Two people in the SUV left the scene.
Officials say the car wash employee who was hit was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the 58-year-old driver of the other vehicle that was hit suffered minor injuries.
