Taylor Swift of course she hides Easter eggs in her music videos, but she rarely thinks about what they really mean. However, during the June 11 show, she made a major exception “Everything is too good: a short film” at the Tribeca Festival. During a 90-minute conversation with 20th Century Woman director Mike Mills, she revealed the secrets of her short film, including why this red typewriter is so important.
A 10-minute extended version of the classic track Swift’s album “Red”. was developed for almost ten years, and the reaction to it made the singer cheer up to try his hand at directing in the future. The Grammy owner revealed to Mills that she was officially bitten by a directorial mistake and she wouldn’t mind making a feature film one day. “It would be so fantastic to write and put something … a plot,” she said Variety. “I don’t see it being bigger, in terms of scale. I loved making such an intimate film. “
So far she’s just excited by the enthusiasm that got her short film “Everything Is Too Good”. But even though she ate a few Easter eggs from the movie, she still doesn’t confirm the assumption that the song is about her relationship with the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Instead, she said that the film is just a story of a young woman who is involved in a novel for which she is not quite ready.
“I wanted to make a film about a sizzling, curious young woman who ends up completely out of her depths,” Swift explained. “You know when you go to the ocean? It’s so much fun, the idea of going so far that your feet don’t touch the ground. But you can be swept away.”
On stage, Swift was joined by movie stars Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink, who had some of their own ideas about the meaning of the film. Keep reading all the Easter eggs confirmed by the singer of “All Too Well” as well as a few that she leaves to the imagination of her ardent fans.
