A 17-year-old who was shot multiple times by a police officer while eating outside a McDonald’s is on life support after multiple organs were punctured … TMZ has learned.
Eric Cantufamily, through their lawyer Brian PowersTMZ reports that the teenager underwent multiple surgeries to repair major organs that were damaged in the shooting.
Eric is being closely monitored as the system keeps his lungs working. He is still sedated to ease the pain and discomfort he would have faced had he been conscious.
Eric is having a hard time and his recovery will not be easy, but his family thanks everyone for their prayers … asking for more love during this time of uncertainty.
As we reported, a San Antonio police officer was caught on surveillance video released by police last week James Brennand shoot several times at an unarmed child. Brennand was on site for an unrelated call … but Cantu apparently avoided Brennand on another call the day before.
Brennand was fired for violating the department’s tactics, training and procedures.
