THE KING OF CAPE
The Cape Coral Fire Department is warning drivers to take extra care when driving at night after two crashes overnight Monday left people trapped in their vehicles.
The fire department says one of the crashes was a two-vehicle crash on NE 22nd Ave. and Hancock Bridge Pkwy. They say the other was a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of Country Club Blvd.
In both cases, firefighters say people were trapped and had to be rescued from the vehicles. It is said that each accident also resulted in serious injuries.
The Cape Coral Fire Department says it can be difficult to see debris, downed cables and other obstructions that may be on roadways at night and on streets where it may be darker than usual. They are asking everyone to drive carefully.
