The groom was worried about his bride after seeing him arrive at their wedding in a sheriff’s patrol car.
But he had not for deputiesgroom who was involved in a car accident while driving to a venue may have been late for an event, a Georgia sheriff’s office said.
“When a groom is on his way to a wedding and gets into a car accident, who gets him to the wedding on time(?) We do,” the Walton County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.
“REMEMBER to teach your loved ones to care for others, not just yourself.”
John Dial was ride with three his groomsmen on Sept. 30 to a wedding venue in Monroe, about 45 miles east of Atlanta, Fox 5 Atlanta reports.
His mother, Emily Hammond, wrote about it on Facebook everyone is on the court tried to keep his fiancee, Morgan Dial, from finding out what happened.
“(Deputies) were on the scene quickly,” Hammond wrote. “All this time, everyone at the venue was trying to keep Morgan from finding out what had happened, or from finding out that he wasn’t even there.
“John was immediately transported by one of the (Wilson County Sheriff’s Office’s) best. It went from frustration, anxiety, fear to thanking God for protection and one of the most beautiful and perfect days I have ever witnessed!” she wrote.
The bride commented on the sheriff’s post on Facebook.
“Thank you to everyone who got my boyfriend there safely,” she wrote.
