TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Killern Methodist Church is helping children in need through the Cornhole Contest.

It’s raising awareness of non-profit organizations Safe families for children. The event helps families in need when they are in crisis and don’t have a support system to rely on.

ABC 27 spoke with Mike Toluba, the church’s associate pastor.
He says the event helps them support the organization.

“It brings together people from different parts of the city, from different walks of life, from different churches and people who are interested in providing resources for families and children in the community,” Toluba said.

Forty people competed in Saturday’s Cornhole Tournament.
Prizes included custom Cornhole bags with the churches logo and gift cards to several businesses around Tallahassee.
