South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) May 26-27, June 24-25 and July 21-22 in Miami and Fort Lauderdale will present their summer chamber music series. This series invites music lovers to enjoy classics in a more personal, intimate atmosphere.
“Our summer chamber music series is a great way to get to know classical music again in a cozy, confined space,” said Jacqueline Lorber, CEO and president of the South Florida Symphony Orchestra. “We are proud to be able to showcase the talents of our world-class instrumentalists, and we invite music lovers of all ages to discover the joy of our summer performances.”
Huifang Chen (violin), Mae Mei Luo (violin), Roberto Enriquez (viola), Claudio Jaffe (cello) and Catherine Lan (piano) will perform in the summer program I. Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 67 and Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34 May 26 at the Coral Gables Congregational Church (3010 De Soto, Coral Gables Boulevard) and May 27 at the Fort Lauderdale Center for Spiritual Life (4849 N Dixie Hwy., Oakland Park).
Askar Salimdzhanov (violin) and Tamil Salimdzhanov (piano) performed by Beethoven will perform in the Summer Program II Sonata for Violin № 1 D major op. 12 № 1, Strauss Violin Sonata in E flat major, Op. 18, Frolov, Gershwin A fantasy concert on themes from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, and Waxman Carmen Fantasy June 24 at the Fort Lauderdale Center for Spiritual Life and June 25 at the Temple of Israel in Greater Miami (37 NE 19th Street).
Huifang Chen (violin), Felicia Besan (viola), Claudio Jaffe (cello) and Catherine Lan (piano) will perform in Summer Program III. Impromptu № 3 for cello and piano, Mozart Piano Quartet in G minor, K478and Schumann Piano Quartet in E Flat, Op. 47 July 21 at the Temple of Israel in Greater Miami and July 22 at the Fort Lauderdale Center for Spiritual Life.
