TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — To keep Tallahassee litter-free, Keep Tallahassee Beautiful is back with their 28th annual Super Clean Sweep.
It will take place on March 4, but groups can sign up now. Last year, 40 teams helped collect two tons of garbage during the event.
We spoke with Keep Tallahassee Beautiful board member Anna Hopkins, who says the event is a good way to help keep the community clean.
“Litter is often a common problem when we drive past it on the road and get used to it. That’s why days like this, when we all come together, focus on the problem and raise awareness about it, are very important,” said Hopkins.
Super Clean Sweep is held on March 4th. People can pick up items from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Ella Lake. Cleaning takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For more information on how to register, you can visit Keep the Tallahassee site looking good.
